Before Game 2 of the 2023 World Series, the Texas Rangers fans at Globe Life Field were treated to a top-tier, nostalgic duo for the ceremonial first pitch. The pre-game battery comprised of eight-year Rangers veteran Adrián Beltré and Hall-of-Fame hurler Fergie Jenkins. Ironically, it was the third baseman Beltré who was tapped to deal to the 1971 NL Cy Young Award winner Jenkins, and deal he did, delivering a commendable strike to start off the festivities in Arlington.
