Gabriel Moreno continues to shine brightly this Postseason, getting the Arizona Diamondbacks started in Game 2 of the 2023 World Series by belting a solo longball in the fourth inning off Texas Rangers left-hander Jordan Montgomery to center field. Notably, with the blast, Moreno became the fifth-youngest catcher in Major League Baseball history to connect for a World Series homer (23 years and 256 days). Additionally, the icebreaking home run was Arizona’s 12th of the Postseason struck by a player age-23 or younger, which is now the most in a single Postseason in MLB history.
