On Tuesday, the 25-year-old surpassed Willie "Puddin’ Head" Jones for the longest hit streak to start a season by a Phillies player in the Modern Era. The record came when he grounded a leadoff single up the middle in the team’s game against the White Sox. Stott’s offense also aided Philadelphia in their game, winning 7-4.
