For the 38th time in his Major League Baseball career, Mookie Betts belted a solo home run as the leadoff batter to catalyze his Club's offense, moving past Ichiro to boost the 10th-most leadoff longballs in history. The homer was a no-doubter blasted high and well over the left-field wall. Betts' blast was impactful, too, helping his Club claw back from a two-run deficit spawned in the top of the first inning in what was an eventual, 7-3 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals.
