Japanese and Seattle Mariners icon Ichiro didn’t have to wait long for his call to Cooperstown. The all-time MLB single-season hits leader spent 14 of his 19 seasons in the Emerald City, tallying 3,089 hits, a .311 batting average, and 509 stolen bases during his MLB career. He accrued countless accolades, including the AL MVP Award and AL Rookie of the Year Award in his first season (2001). Ichiro is now the first Japanese-born player ever to be elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame.
