St. Louis Cardinals catcher Willson Contreras weighed in heavily during his squad’s 16-8 drubbing of the visiting Los Angeles Dodgers on Thursday night. The 31-year-old became just the second backstop in team history to post a two-homer, six-RBI contest - joining Hall-of-Famer Ted Simmons, who turned the feat during the 1979 and 1980 seasons. Contreras’ two longballs contributed to a record-tying seven home runs by Cardinals batters on the night.
