Making his 2023 season debut just ten days prior, Chicago Cubs outfielder Christopher Morel has been quickly making up for lost time. The 23-year-old chipped in with a two-run blast in the ninth inning of Chicago’s 10-1 victory over Philadelphia on Friday night - continuing what has been an outstanding start for the rookie. Morel is the first Cubs player to hit six homers in his first nine games since Hall-of-Famer Gabby Hartnett back in 1925. Morel is hitting .359 with the six homers and 12 RBI since May 9.
