Fernando Tatis Jr. had a historic day at the plate on Wednesday against the Cleveland Guardians. The San Diego Padres superstar started things off right with a leadoff homer in the first inning. The deep shot set a franchise record for most leadoff career blasts with 11. Tatis wasn’t done, doubling twice and working a walk in his next at-bats. He also stole two bases during the game, making him and Tony Gwynn the only Padres players ever to homer, steal two bases, and record an outfield assist in the same game.
