July 4th marks the Independence of the United States, and now it also stands as the beginning of Dane Myers' MLB career. The outfielder got the call-up to the Miami Marlins on Tuesday against the St. Louis Cardinals and enjoyed a day of firsts. In addition to playing in his first Major League game, the 27-year-old recorded the first hit and RBI of his career. Myers collected two hits and two runs on an action-packed afternoon that ended with his Club claiming a 15-2 victory.
