Yesterday, the New York Yankees battled the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field and left the diamond victorious, 6-3. In what turned out to be a five-run second inning from the Yankees, established slugger Giancarlo Stanton belted a three-run homer off Rockies starter Connor Seabold to right field. Amazingly, when Stanton scored himself, he became just the ninth active player to reach the 1,000 RBI plateau, giving his Club’s fans something to celebrate other than their 50th win of the 2023 campaign.
