Last night, Great American Ball Park was thumping after the Cincinnati Reds bested the Arizona Diamondbacks, 9-6, for the Club's third-consecutive victory. The contest was undoubtedly highlighted by first-year talent Matt McLain's first-career grand slam in the fifth inning. The 23-year-old connected with a pitch from Justin Martinez to send the lead-padding longball well over the right-field wall. Amazingly, the pitch McLain crushed was hurled at an impressive 100.9 miles per hour, making it the fastest pitch belted for a grand slam in the pitch tracking era (since 2008).
