Matt McLain was red hot before being called up last week and hasn’t cooled off since joining the Cincinnati Reds. The Club’s fifth-ranked prospect suited up against the St. Louis Cardinals and achieved a personal milestone, hitting his first career home run. The shot came at the bottom of the third inning against Cardinals legend Adam Wainwright. The two-run homer traveled 385 feet and put the Reds within striking distance early in the game.
