Pete Alonso

Since Pete Alonso joined the New York Mets in 2019, he has been revered for his powerful bat. The “Polar Bear” once again reminded fans of that strength as his Club hosted the Miami Marlins on Friday afternoon, smashing a homer in the eighth inning. More significantly, the blast marked his 150th home run in 538 career games, making him the second fastest in MLB history to reach that mark (Ryan Howard, 495). Alonso also now sits sixth in Mets history for all-time home runs, passing Carlos Beltran with his milestone blast.
