As part of the New York Yankees 4-1 victory over the Baltimore Orioles last night, Giancarlo Stanton slugged a fifth-inning solo home run to make some Oriole Park at Camden Yards history. Remarkably, the longball left Stanton’s bat at a neck-breaking 116.3 miles per hour, the fastest-hit homer on Orioles turf in the Statcast era (at least 2015). What’s more, the home run was already Stanton’s third of the 2023 campaign and tacked on his Club’s final insurance run on the day.
