The Toronto Blue Jays second baseman has displayed great discipline and pop at the plate, entering Wednesday’s game hitting .381 with six home runs in 19 games. The New Jersey native led off the eighth inning with a solo blast to continue his hot stretch. Wednesday’s homer makes him the second player in Blue Jays history to reach seven or more dingers in his first 20 career games. He joins iconic slugger Carlos Delgado, who hit eight during the 1993-94 season.
