Davis Schneider became the first player in Blue Jays history to hit a walk-off grand slam in his first career game. The 24-year-old rookie delivered a two-out, two-run blast in the bottom of the ninth off Rangers reliever Jhordan Almonte to lift Toronto to a 6-4 victory on May 31 at Rogers Centre. Schneider, who entered the game as a pinch-runner in the eighth inning, etched his name into franchise lore with one swing, becoming just the 10th player in MLB history to accomplish the feat in his debut. His blast also snapped a five-game losing streak for the Blue Jays.
