The New York Yankees offseason trade investment on superstar Juan Soto showed an immediate return on Opening Day. With the Yankees clinging to a 5-4 lead in the bottom of the ninth inning against the Houston Astros, Kyle Tucker laced a ball to right field with a chance to tie the game. Playing the ball perfectly, Soto fired a strike to the plate from right to nail the would-be tying run. Soto’s incredible throw preserved the lead and helped New York hold on to a 5-4 triumph.
