Katie Ledecky

It was Bobby Finke’s turn to meet Katie Ledecky at the 1500-meter freestyle finish line with some Olympic gold. Ledecky, who set an Olympic record with her 15:30:02 time, bagged her eighth career gold medal to tie Jenny Thompson’s mark for the most such won by an American woman. Finke got in on the world-record-breaking fun on Sunday, touching the wall at 14:30:67 to set a new mark in the men’s race. Rightfully, Ledecky was in the stands to witness the historic victory.
