Caroline Marks

The competition was fierce in the final round of Women’s Surfing on Monday, but Caroline Marks was certainly up for the challenge. The 22-year-old finished her day with a score of 10.50, edging out Brazil’s Tatiana Weston-Webb by 0.17. “To win the final, you had to get in the barrel, which is what you dream of when you surf Teahupo’o,” Marks was quoted as saying about her first place performance. This makes two consecutive gold medals for Team USA Women’s Surfing, following up Carissa Moore’s gold at Tokyo 2020.
