Valarie Allman

Valarie Allman found herself in a familiar spot Monday, atop the Olympic podium. Four years after her first, the discus thrower won her second-straight Olympic gold medal in the event. The winning toss came on the her fourth throw, launching the discus 69.50 meters. That throw paced her competitors, traveling two meters further than the silver medalist.
