The 41-year-old’s fourth strikeout of the contest brought him to a career total of 3,372 - passing the legendary Greg Maddux. That strikeout also saw the three-time Cy Young Award winner move into the top-10 for all-time career strikeouts. “That was a moment that we all took time to embrace him and congratulate him, because he’s had an incredible career,” said Manager Joe Espada on the achievement.
