The Alabama native was the star of Thursday’s game at Birmingham’s Rickwood Field, collecting three hits including a long two-run home run, double, and three RBI. His efforts helped the Cardinals defeat the San Francisco Giants, 6-5. “History is something we should celebrate, and for us to be a part of this and play a game here, it’s very special for Major League Baseball and this state,” Donovan said.
