Paul Skenes

Pittsburgh Pirates pitching wonder Paul Skenes continues to amaze, reaching another feat in Sunday's contest. The 22-year-old spun a dandy, tossing seven innings of one-run ball and striking out eight against the Tampa Bay Rays. The effort made Skenes the first NL pitcher, since 1901, with at least 60 punchouts and fewer than 10 walks allowed through his first eight career games. Since his debut on May 11, the fireballer has racked up seven or more whiffs in seven outings thus far.
