Cincinnati Reds third baseman Noelvi Marte has a thing for picking up hits in bunches, and Thursday’s game was a prime example. The 22-year-old got his night going by ripping an RBI double to center field in the third inning. Marte was eager to contribute some more, picking up hits in the fifth and seventh innings to complete his day with three hits, three runs, and a stolen base. The Dominican Republic native’s fourth career three-knock performance helped pick up the 11-4 win against the St. Louis Cardinals.
