If you're going to make New York Mets history, you might as well do it in fashion. Pete Alonso did just that in the second game of a doubleheader against the Detroit Tigers. With the team trailing 1-0 in the ninth, the first baseman cracked a game-tying home run. The shot marked Alonso's 500th career RBI, becoming the fastest to achieve that feat in franchise history. More importantly, the homer ignited the Mets late rally, resulting in the team's first win of the season, 2-1.
