Pete Alonso hit a pair of home runs to lead the Mets past the Marlins, 7-5, on June 15 at loanDepot Park. The first blast came off Braxton Garrett in the first inning, giving New York an early lead, while the second was a solo shot off George Soriano in the seventh to seal the victory. Alonso now has 12 homers on the season and is tied for the National League lead with Pete in the Home Run Derby at 20.
