Salvador Perez has consistently been one of the best offensive catchers in Baseball since he debuted in 2011, and the personal milestone he reached on Tuesday is proof. The Kansas City Royals backstop logged two RBI in a 5-0 victory over the New York Yankees, giving him 100 for the year. That makes “Salvy” just the third catcher in MLB history, aged 34 or older, with 100-plus RBI in a season (Carlton Fisk in 1985 and Terry Steinbach in 1996). Perez has now reached the century mark in RBI twice in his career.
