Michael King carried the San Diego Padres in their 4-0 victory in Game 1 of the National League Wild Card series. After putting a cap on his first full season as a starter, the New York native was ready for October Baseball. King dominated the Atlanta Braves lineup over seven shutout innings, racking up 12 strikeouts and allowing no walks. The righty became the first pitcher in MLB history to have such an outing in his first career Postseason start.
