The moment didn't seem too big for New York Yankees rookie Austin Wells on Tuesday. The young catcher, who doubled earlier in Game 4, stepped to the plate in the bottom of the sixth inning. Clinging to a 5-4 lead, Wells looked to provide some insurance. He did just that, crushing a 384-foot solo shot to right field to become just the fifth rookie backstop in MLB history with a World Series homer. The blast helped power the Yankees offense to a season-saving 11-4 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers.
