Austin Wells

New York Yankees catcher Austin Wells continued his strong rookie season in Friday's ALCS Game 5 against the Cleveland Guardians at Progressive Field. Wells connected for a second inning solo shot over the right-center field wall, making him the first rookie catcher in franchise history to hit a Postseason home run. The power hitting catcher's long ball helped the Yankees to an 8-6 win, while also taking a commanding 3-1 ALCS lead, needing just one more win to reach the World Series.
