Austin Wells caught some New York Yankees history with his first homer of the 2025 season. On top of becoming the first catcher in Yankees history to hit at the top of the lineup, the 25-year-old hit the first leadoff blast on Opening Day in franchise history. Wells' shot set the tone in the season opener, an eventual 4-2 win against the Milwaukee Brewers.
