Salvador Perez began his big night at the plate early on, rounding the bases twice in the Kansas City Royals 6-1 win. The veteran catcher went the opposite way in the opening frame for a two-run blast. Perez flashed his pop again, hitting the second deck five innings later. “Salvy” passed George Brett for the most multi-homer games (18) in Royals history with his showing.
