Good things come to those who wait, something outfielder Esmerlyn Valdez surely knows. Pittsburgh's No. 9 overall prospect was hitless through his first two MLB games before his at-bat in the sixth inning against Toronto. With one runner aboard, Valdez lined an 0-1 offering to right field, clearing the wall for his first MLB hit and homer in an eventual 4-1 Pirates win.
