Eugenio Suárez

Eugenio Suárez was the hero for Team Venezuela, driving in the game-winning run to secure the nation’s first World Baseball Classic title. With things tied at 2-2 in the top of the ninth inning, Suárez laced a double to left-center field to plate Javier Sanoja. “That’s why we play with passion, with love,” Suárez said postgame. “Now, we are the champions.”
