CARPENTER CRUSHES 2 HR IN GAME Cardinals third baseman Matt Carpenter went deep twice in the Cardinals' 11-4 win over the Reds on 8/18. Carpenter's first home run came in the 2nd inning off Reds starter Anthony DeSclafani, a solo shot to left field. His second home run was a two-run blast in the 6th inning off reliever Robert Stephenson. Carpenter now has 25 home runs on the season and is batting .226 with 66 RBI.
