Yesterday, when Carpenter hit a leadoff homer off Angels dual-threat Shohei Ohtani, he became just the third Yankees player in history to smash three home runs as his first three hits since joining the Club. His solo home run was impactful, helping his Yankees best the Angels, 6–1.
