Walker Buehler paid his manager handsomely for entrusting him with the Game 1 start in the NLDS. The 25-year-old flamethrower hurled six shutout innings, allowing just one hit and striking out eight batters. Buehler kept the Washington Nationals starting lineup on its heels all night, protecting a 1-0 lead for most of his start.
