Tigers starter Matthew Boyd might just skip past the first inning altogether the next time he faces the White Sox. For the second time in as many starts against the “South Siders”, Chicago led off with back-to-back home runs, the first time that has happened in MLB history. In Monday evening’s contest, Boyd allowed solo home runs to Tim Anderson and Yoan Moncada to give the White Sox an early 2-0 lead. Back on August 12, Tim Anderson and Eloy Jimenez went back-to-back in the top of the first against the southpaw.
