Willie Stargell

MAY 22, 1968 — Willie wasted no time putting the Pirates on the board with a solo home run off of Joe Niekro and the Cubs at Wrigley Park. The star first baseman did not slow down from there, driving in runs in the fourth, fifth, sixth and eighth innings. Willie finished his incredible performance with five hits, three of which left the yard and seven RBI to lead the Pirates to a 13-6 win over the Cubs.
