The leadoff spot is typically reserved for player known as a “table-setter”, someone who can score runs with the power hitters batting behind him. Fernando is a player who can do both. For the third time in his young career, Tatis Jr. hit leadoff home runs in back-to-back games on Saturday evening, finishing the game with two longballs. He had previously done this on August 7-8 and July 29-30 last season.
