With the Chicago Cubs down, 10-0, to the Atlanta Braves in the seventh inning, they turned to their position players to finish the game on the mound. Anthony Rizzo toed the rubber against the heart of the lineup and squared off against fellow MLB All-Star first baseman Freddie Freeman. Two of the games brightest stars were smiling though the entire at-bat, as they both knew the potential bragging rights that would ensue. Rizzo worked his way to a 2-2 count and ultimately got the reigning NL MVP to chase of a breaking ball away for a strikeout.
