David Ortiz

Following his emphatic walk-off, two-run home run in the bottom of the 12th in Game 4 of the 2004 ALCS, David Ortiz had another opportunity to cement an extra-innings win in Game 5. “Big Papi” stepped up to the plate in the bottom of the 14th inning with runners on first and second base and connected on a well located inside pitch from Esteban Loaiza, sending it into center field for a walk-off, bloop-single.
