Stan Musial

APRIL 29, 1960 — Stan Musial made history when he appeared at first base for the 1,000th time in his career, as he became the only player in MLB history to appear in at least 1,000 contests at two different positions. Musial in 24 MLB All-Star Game exhibitions and earned the National League MVP Award on three separate occasions. Musial finished his career with 1,896 games in the outfield and 1,016 games at first base.
