Justin Verlander

MAY 7, 2011 — Detroit Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander tossed his second career no-hitter, victimizing the Blue Jays on their home turf. The flame-throwing right-hander carried a perfect game into the bottom of the eighth inning until J.P. Arencibia drew a walk. Verlander fed off of the roaring crowd that grew louder as each batter was retired, seeing his fastball velocity creep up each inning. Justin would go on to fan four hitters over the course of his no-hit gem.
