Eric Haase of the Detroit Tigers and Jonathan India of the Cincinnati Reds have been named AL and NL Rookies of the Month, respectively. Haase becomes the first Tigers rookie to win the award since Brennan Boesch in 2010. The 28-year-old backup and outfielder clubbed nine homers, totaled 29 RBI and owned a staggering .945 OPS over 23 games played in July. India had an impressive month at the plate with a .319 batting average, .470 on-base percentage and four longballs. The 24-year-old has also been solid at second base, only committing six errors over 109 chances this month.
