Sandy Alcántara

Sandy Alcántara set the tone for the Miami Marlins in their 2-1, extra-innings victory over the New York Mets with an incredible performance on the bump. The 26-year-old hurler scattered just four hits over nine innings of one-run ball and struck out a career-high 14 batters. Alcántara kept the talented Mets lineup off balance all evening, fully in command of his elite arsenal of pitches highlighted by his upper-90-mph heater and wicked off speed-mix.
