Christian Arroyo and J.D. Martinez extended the Boston Red Sox already surmountable lead in Game 3 of the ALCS by way of the longball. Arroyo struck in the bottom of the third inning with a two-run blast, off of Yimi Garcia, that traveled into the seats above the Green Monster wall. Martinez followed up in the bottom of the sixth with a two-run homer of his own, off of Phil Maton, that also landed over the Green Monster. The Red Sox would go on to win Game 3, 12-3, over the Houston Astros.
