Aaron Nola

In what was the first Postseason appearance of his Major League Baseball career, Philadelphia Phillies starting pitcher Aaron Nola twirled a scoreless gem, setting the stage for his Club's eventual Game 2 victory in the National League Wild Card Series. Nola, who threw for six and 2/3 innings, struck out a noteworthy six Cardinals batters while walking just one of them. This incredible, shutout start paved the way for not only their 2-0 victory, but his Phillies advancement to the National League Division Series.
