AUGUST 11, 1980 — Legendary slugger Reggie Jackson collected an impressive 563 home runs over the course of his Major League Baseball career; however, his 400th was struck in a contest between his New York Yankees and the Kansas City Royals. The milestone solo longball was belted in the fourth inning of the game, when Jackson connected with a pitch from Royals hurler Britt Burns.
