Tom Seaver

After an incredibly successful 1973 Major League Baseball campaign, New York Mets starting pitcher Tom Seaver was named the NL Cy Young Award winner for the second time in his career. Seaver, who notched an incredible record of 19-10 on the year, lead the League in ERA and complete games with a 2.08 and 18, respectively. Interestingly, with the receipt of this award, Seaver became the first pitcher in MLB history to win the Cy Young Award with less than 20 wins in a single season.
